About us
We have been teaching ages 5+ in and out of schools across London/South East UK for over 7 years. We have put on many performances in theatres, in schools for parents etc and had 1000's of Children smiling and dancing away. SS4A has gone through extensive training, competitions, performances, research and study into the different styles of Hip-Hop & Street dance. We have a passion for learning, encouraging, teaching, mentoring, practicing, progressing and we will always try to be the best we can be and so we can teach at the highest standards. All instructors from SS4A have their CRB and First aid certificates up-to-date.

Our goals with schools
Anything is possible! As well as dancing, we educate our students about the real meaning/essence of Hip-Hop; being about love, peace, respect for one another, individual expression, creativity, a means to which you can channel your ideas and express them through the arts. Hip Hop has just as much of an impact on boys as it does with girls, so it is a great way to get them active and to get their minds on something positive. Hip-Hop dance was created by the inner-city kids of New York that didn't want to get involved with the violence/drugs etc that was occurring at the time. To be a dancer you need to eat and sleep right, exercise etc, so there is no time for getting involved with anything that can ruin your body or your life.
Hip Hop is cool, and therefore is a perfect medium to reach boys and girls, and with there being so many aspects that appeal to them, that challenge and make them want to better themselves such as: performing at the end of the class, in a dance circle, on stage etc, competing (on their own or in a group), learning moves that will help them dance just like they do on TV. Through our permanent classes teacher training, competitions (inter-club and external) are just a few things that they can aim to achieve.
We teach important life skills such as perseverance, self discipline, self confidence etc, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We are dedicated to the success of each of our students. Whether it is a permanent class or just a 6/10 week course we aim to help those that want to learn and to progress them as far along the dancing journey as possible, keeping the fun, excitement and entertainment close in hand.
All songs for the school classes contain no swearing/sexual or provocative language or containing references to guns/violence. SS4A encourages moral values, for example; that hip hop is not about guns/violence etc but in actual fact the pure essence is Love and respect for one another; Love for music, life, dance, progression, culture, art, expression etc. SS4A aims to be a positive role model for children and all those that we teach.
The best way to start
A demonstration is the best way to generate interest. This enables the Children, teachers etc to see what SS4A can do, potentially meet the chief instructor (Robert Gregg) and/or instructor who will be teaching and get familiar with what is on available to them (and to be entertained via a performance!) This method has always gained at least 25 children, once they see what is involved. Contact us to see if your school is eligible for a free demonstration and workshop.
