One of the many things we love about Street is the fact that it gives very active boys/girls something to do. Something to channel their energy and creativity. We have heard many stories about Street Dance keeping their kids OUT of trouble at school as they are always practicing and becoming very “focused”. We have had many stories about “Freestyling” (the act of performing dance without any plan about what happens next, improvisation, making it up as you go along – and often in front of people under pressure) helping their child become more confident at school and going from someone who was “quiet, sitting at the back” to “being always at the front, asking questions, getting involved” etc. We love Street Dance, and confident that you will too!
We are one of the first schools in the world to be government recognised and certified in teaching street dance. We aim to provide the best Street Dance experience possible.
Helping them grow
We are committed to providing the best street dance experience possible, but that doesn’t mean that we spoon feed the students, or treat the younger ones like they do in a crèche. We LOVE to have fun and make sure that there is plenty of it, but we also understand the importance of teaching focus and discipline so that each student can grow. Encouragement is balanced with constructive criticism, and all class are taught in a fun and relaxed way. We also have our unique grading system to help our students grow as street dancers and also as people. We really are more than just a class!

Frequently Asked Questions
I don't want to look silly in front of people, any tips?
Our advice is to come along and bring a friend if it helps. You need to push past your fears and focus on what you want to do/passionate about. If you don’t you will be preventing yourself from doing something you want to do, and which could turn out to be really good for you as you relax, meet others and begin to progress…you will feel great!
How do I pay for classes?
These membership classes are paid monthly. You are allowed to pay as you go for the first few classes before committing to monthly payments. Feel free to call 01323 332183 if you have any further questions.
Our classes have limited spaces so it is best to call before just turning up to avoid disappointment, but if you want to pop down and say hi/grab a coffee then you are most welcome.
What to wear?
For street dance it is best to wear comfortable clothes – baggy clothes are the most common for Hip Hop but whatever you feel best dancing in. Tight fitting, flat soled shoes are good. Try to keep jewellery to a minimum to avoid accidents and to keep your shoes tied tight as to help avoid twisting ankles.
Do classes run every week?
All of our classes run in approximately 3 x 11/12 week terms, just like the academic school year. During the half term/end of term breaks we run workshops with some of the world’s best teachers and during the summer we run our Summer School.
